Charbay Vodka Cocktail of the Week:Blood Orange Drop

Go for a more colorful cocktail with this variation on the famed Lemon Drop.

CHARBAY Blood Orange Drop (serves 1)

2 oz. CHARBAY Blood Orange Vodka
Juice of 1 whole orange (or 1.5 oz. fresh orange juice)
1 oz. simple syrup

Mix ingredients in a shaker with ice;shake and strain into a sugar-rimmed martini glass.

Tastes of the Month:Twists on Classic Cocktails

At this time of year there’s nothing like a cool glass of lemonade,iced tea,a spritzer,or even an old-fashioned Dark and Stormy. Ahhh! But sometimes you want a little bit of a kick in your beverage,and PipeLine is here to deliver! Enjoy the refreshing tastes of Charbay’s green tea vodka,90+ Cellars Rose, and Blackbeard spiced rum. These new twists on old favorites will keep you cool all summer long!

Green Tea Lemonade 

2 oz Charbay Green Tea Vodka
3 oz fresh squeezed lemonade
2 oz Bubble-Up lemon-lime soda from Gotham Artisanal

Combine the first two ingredients in a shaker with ice.

Pour into a tall glass with fresh ice,top with soda,stir gently,
and serve with a lemon wheel and two long straws.

Think of this as a grownup Arnold Palmer –perfect for the 19th hole.

Blushing Spritzer

Here’s an old favorite that’s on the lighter side.

2 oz. 90+ Cellars Rose
2 oz. Fever Tree Soda Water

Pour ingredients in an ice-filled tall glass and stir gently. Serve with straws.

Dark and Stormy on the Pipeline

2 oz Blackbeard Spiced Rum
2 oz. Cock n’Bull Ginger Beer

Combine in a tall glass and stir gently. Add ice and a slice of ginger as a garnish.

Enjoy these delicious simple cocktails all summer long and keep cool!

That irrepressible PipeLiner John Henry is running Karma Tequila Happy Hour promos every Thursday night in July at Mad Dog &Beans in the Financial District.
